I have overall responsibility for all the commercial aspects of the business. I am also responsible for all areas that are common to Jet, Henson and Scotts such as Environmental, Personnel and Health & Safety. I joined Jet Plant In March 1990 as office clerk / spare jack-hammer man, went off to University and came back in June 1994. The best bits about my job are the wide cross section of people I meet with and talk to throughout my working week. Winning new work and customers!! The worst bits about my job are when things go wrong and we don’t deliver the service I expect to our customers. I take it very personally and feel a real sense of disappointment when we don’t meet our own high standards. In my free time I have recently been converted to cricket and play in the same village team as my son. I also run a junior football team through the winter as well as being Dad-Taxi for my four children.
I really enjoy mowing. There is very little more satisfying than a freshly cut lawn with perfect stripes. I have even volunteered my mowing services to the village cricket club helping to prepare the wicket each week.
I joined the business in 2001 based in Evesham; my background has mainly focused upon operations in various industries including telecoms and agriculture. Shortly after JET bought the TETLAW business in 2004, an opportunity arose for me to move to the south west and support the operations function there. My role has developed to focus on sales and marketing nationally. The business has grown significantly since I joined and remains loyal to our core values of customer service and quality. Very proud to be a member of the team and seek to meet the needs of our customers.
Moving to Devon in 2005 has allowed me to spend more time in the sea. When work allows, I pack my wetsuit and surfboard and head to the coast in search of the perfect wave.
I manage the programming of all 1m planer jobs for Jet. I liaise with customers before, during and after jobs to ensure we are giving the best service possible. I respond to site issues and inform all planer operators of customer requirements.
Something you may not know about me..... I’m Welsh.
I joined Jet in spring 2014 after a career in Royal Mail as a delivery office manager. Based in Evesham, I was Initially employed as transport manager but I moved to an operations management role after 3 months. I am responsible for 350mm and 0.5m programming nationally and all that goes with it.
As part of my university course I spent 6 months in the Arctic learning Arctic survival skills.
For eighteen years I have been an Operations Manager based in the South West. Recently, to accommodate Company growth, my role has changed to Contracts Manager, predominantly looking after contracts from the Newton Abbot depot. Other responsibilities include the management and maintenance of the South West depot.
I joined Tetlaw Contracting in 1994. Initially, as a qualified plant fitter and operator, then 2 metre foreman, before Mike Tetlaw promoted me to Operations Manager in 1999.
In 2004 Tetlaw was acquired by JET Plant, a family business with aspirations and the determination to expand on the Tetlaw good name and reputation.
The best bits about my job are working with a great group of people. We all work as a team and help each other when the going gets tough. With several years’ experience, from all aspects of the road planing industry, I have the background to help and advise customers to overcome problems - and this gives me a great deal of satisfaction.
In my free time, I have spent a lot of time renovating our 200 year old cottage. But I also enjoy spending days out and holidays with my family. Other pastimes are sea fishing and looking at the rusty old golf clubs in the garage.
For several years Tetlaw sponsored a Formula 1 powerboat team. From 1996 to year 2000 I was a member of the pit crew and travelled all over Europe and Asia. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had that opportunity, an experience that I still look back on with great excitement.
I have worked for Jet since 1999 in various roles, starting as a lorry driver. In 2008 I started work in the office as the Maintenance Manager looking after the company's planers and vehicles. After sitting my National CPC I became the Transport Manager and am responsible for keeping Jet and Tetlaw legal and compliant.
I have once celebrated the New Year drinking whisky with some Masai warriors.
My role at JET Plant is Sales Ledger and Credit Control. I joined the company in August 2015 and I have completed AAT level 4 and have obtained my MAAT status. At JET I am responsible for sending out sales invoices and carrying out the daily banking of all cheques, cash and BACS transactions, as well as being the main credit controller.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching various sports including football, rugby, rowing, cycling, swimming and athletics. I am also a junior rowing coach at Stratford-Upon-Avon Boat Club, having reached a high-level personally.
I am a fully qualified plumbing and heating engineer and spent 5 years working for my Dad.
I joined JET in July 2018 as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. I oversee the Purchase Ledger Department which includes inputting all invoices, creating payment runs for authorisation and dealing with any queries that arise. I enjoy getting to know our suppliers and building good relationships with them.
I lived in Detroit, Michigan USA from 1998-2006 working for a company called ‘The Home Depot’. I’m currently in the middle of completing my AAT qualification.
I have 25 years experience in the planing industry, having moved on from being a diesel mechanic and welder. Within the planing industry I have undertaken roles as diverse as planer operator to my present role as the friendly face of Jet. My focus is on reaching out to (and meeting with) new and existing customers in the Midlands and The North.
People who know me would say I am a man of character. I enjoy spending my weekends outdoors and am an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
I have worked for Jet for over 10 years in the role of office administrator providing support to the managers and supervisors in the Evesham office. My responsibilities include ordering the uniforms for all our operators, general paper shuffling and managing our information and documents.
It is a little known fact that the laws of physics do not apply to me and that I can cook 30 minute Chocolate Brownies in 20 minutes.
My background is in retail and I spent many years working in customer service for Tesco. In October 2016 I joined JET working with Allan Potter, the Operations Manager for 350mm and 500mm planers.
I am a fully qualified Beauty Therapist.
I joined JET Plant in February 2011 as Plant Coordinator and have been promoted to an Operations Manager based in Newton Abbot looking after the 1 metre planers, 1.5 metre planers, lorries and sweepers in the South West and the Isle of Wight. My duties include customer liaison, logistics and programming work, planning the maintenance of the planers and ensuring the lorries are Inspected as per the maintenance schedule.
The best bit about my job is working within a great team; we all need a good sense of humour!
My free time is spent with my wife, watching films and get out and about, enjoying life in Devon.
I used to play trumpet in a dance band travelling all over the UK and Europe.
I am the planning coordinator for the transportation and tipper work for the 1m wheeled & tracked machines based out of Evesham, trying to ensure work is transported as efficiently as possible and our drivers abide by tacho laws. I joined Jet in September 2014. I have spent most of my career working in the civil service for the Rural Payments Agency planning work for farm inspectors, collecting Claim forms and filling in lots of spreadsheets!
Despite being born and brought up in the Welsh Valleys, I am dreadful at singing – perhaps why I now live in England!
I’m from an agricultural background and previous jobs have included Assistant Manager at a rural petrol station, receptionist at a Agricultural Retailer and selling prescription-only animal medicines, clothing and footwear. I’ve always enjoyed providing exceptional customer service and I was delighted to join JET Plant in July 2018 as Planing Sales Team Leader. My main role is to find customers for the road planings and to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the sale and delivery process.

I am the Office, Safety and Compliance Manager and I started with the business at the end of May 2018. My role is ensure that JET Plant maintains the highest Heath, Safety and Environmental standards, meeting all targets. I also provide HR support and work with some great people here in the Evesham office.
When I was younger, I had classical vocal training with a Professor of Music for three years. Since then I have enjoyed singing within the soprano range for a number of choirs, both contemporary and choral.
I joined JET in December 2016 as an administrator and compliance assistant. I provide administrative support to the managers in Evesham office. I am enjoying building new relationships with colleagues and customers.
I went to school with an army profile and we had to join the army for a month. I learnt to shoot an AK47 & scored 44 out of 50!
I joined Jet in August 2008. I look after the administration of the Newton Abbot depot, liaising with Claire Hooper in Evesham, supporting Richard and Nick with completing spreadsheets etc, and assisting Matt with booking training.
I enjoy spending time with my family, as my boys are growing fast. I also enjoy baking, reading, running and socialising with friends.
I am terrified of heights, but I have jumped out of a plane to do a tandem skydive for charity, in memory of my Dad.
I am the son of a life-long mechanic and have been involved with planers for over thirty years. I worked for Stuart Witheford before he founded Jet Plant Hire and eventually came to work for Jet as an operator. I now look after the maintenance of our fleet of planers nationally.
I am an avid country-man, I enjoy shooting, ferreting and hunting and I love motorcycles and the biker life style.
In 1987 I started work with a local haulier as a mechanic. At the age of 18 I passed my PSV licence and at 21, I acquired my HGV licence and started work in the planing industry. I started working at JET in 1996, driving lorries. I have recently moved into a more logistics focus and my new role, which I started in September 2015, involves overseeing the smooth running of our contract work.
I have restored two vintage lorries which I take to truck shows and rallies, I am also related to Olympic gold medallist swimmer David Wilkie.
I have worked in the accounts department at Jet for over 18 years. My main responsibilities are processing weekly and monthly payroll for Jet’s employees. I also produce the monthly management accounts for Jet, Henson & Scotts.
As a little girl, I could lick both my elbows.
I joined jet in July 2018 as a Planing Sales Co-ordinator. The role includes finding tips for the planings to be delivered, raising invoices and ensuring sure the customers are happy with the plainings they receive. I love talking to customers and solving any issues they may have.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and have a real passion for cars.
